Nature in Abstraction
This pair of paintings is inspired by the colors and forms of the canyons of the Southwest. They both explore the flowing, organic forms and vibrant and vivid colors that are so characteristic of those natural sites.

The Process
Both paintings began with a small digital sketch that I then transferred on my bright pink, primed, canvas by hand and did any alterations necessary, then filled each section with its corresponding color in oil paint.
