Sometimes I feel like moving away from my more serious works. It is then I turn to abstraction and give myself permission to experiment and play and let my intuition guide me wherever it wishes to go.

The colourful piano and its colourful surrounds are reminiscent of happy times at the piano and the ensuing reverberations
I drew the initial concept and used markers to get a feel for the colour combination which I altered as I went along to achieve a more dramatic effect
